Frequently Asked Questions...

1.  How did we determine the cost of the renovation?  Two years ago the council approved to hire a Design Firm to quote the renovation of the Sanctuary and Narthex which came to $1.3 million.  Through prayer and God’s grace we have been able to cut that cost significantly and to include all of Bldg A.  The Commercial General Contractor and licensed Designer agreed to assist with the project for FREE!  We also did not outsource capital campaign assistance as done in the past.  When the General Contractor met with subcontractors and vendors they were asked to give their best quote and they did! God is Good!!!

2.  Why not just repair the ceiling?  The initial plan was to just scrape and paint the ceiling and re-stain the wood, but when we met with the subcontractors, one of them said because we are a church he would sell us the tongue and groove wood at cost and he gave us a wonderful price to install and apply it.  That cost was the same amount as our initial plan.  We get a beautiful ceiling at the same cost.  God is Good!!!

3. Why new pews?  We had every intention of just refurbishing the pews, the cost to repair the veneer and reupholster was reasonable.  However we would have to hire a company to remove, store and transport which would add a significant cost to the project.    This would take a lot of coordination and possibly damaging the pews when removing them and in transit. In the end the decision was made to get new pews.

4.  Donor Confidentiality is a real concern to me, how is it handled in regards to Faith Forward campaign.

· Donor Information: All records related to contributions and pledges are treated as confidential. Only a limited number of individuals who need the information to record and process the contributions have access to these records. NOTE:  If possible please make a separate check for Faith Forward from your regular tithing.  This will limit the number of individuals even more who will be processing and recording the contribution.  Please use the normal offering envelope.

· Transparency vs. Secrecy: While individual giving data is confidential, the overall campaign process will be transparent. This involves regularly updating the congregation on the general progress, celebrating milestones, and addressing concerns openly.
