The Mission of Faith Lutheran Church is: Embracing Our Community – Connecting as Christ's Family.
Just as Jesus spent time embracing His community with His care, the people of Faith believe we are strategically placed to reach out and share His Good News with our community. Our goal is to advance the Gospel and make Christ’s love known to all. Living the Gospel. Proclaiming the Gospel. Advancing the Gospel. Through Christ’s love at Faith Lutheran, friends become family.
Core Values
Our core values explain why we do what we do. There are four key values:
We are CENTERED IN CHRIST – The starting point of our Christian life is worship, where we regularly gather around God’s Word and Sacraments. The heart of the Christian life centers around this weekly engagement with Christ and His people. Our hope as a church is to point others to the One worthy of worship.
We are ANCHORED IN HIS WORD – Bible-study is the next value and step towards discipleship. We want people to open God’s word and hear the living voice of Christ, learning more about who Jesus is and what He has done for us. The Bible is the Word of God. Consequently, all of its content is absolutely true and is without error.
We are SHAPED BY HIS SERVICE – Jesus once said – “The Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many.” Our lives are lived in the shape of the cross as servants in everything we do for our community and our world in accordance with the higher purpose of serving God. Since there is nothing we can ever do to earn salvation, we do not serve in order to be saved; but service is done out of praise and thanks because we are saved.
EMBRACING as HIS FAMILY – Through faith all Christians are brothers and sisters in Christ. Though we come from different hometowns, different careers and different cultures, in Christ we are one. Faith Lutheran is where friends become family as we extend the hand of Jesus to all.
