The Ministry Map, which defines the direction and goals that we (the members of Faith Lutheran Church & Preschool - FLCP) will be focusing on over the next several years. This Ministry Map is the result of a team effort of nearly 100 members of the congregation (including the Council & Board of Elders), as well as the Called staff and office staff here at FLCP.
This Ministry Map provides us with a blueprint for how the members of Faith can intentionally “Embrace Our Community and Connect as Christ’s Family” to Collierville and the surrounding community and share the Gospel with those who are lost. This also provides all members of FLCP to be involved in this effort, in fulfillment of our Lord and Savior’s command to “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen” (Matthew 28:19-20). I pray that you will thoughtfully consider how you may best assist us of in fulfilling His desire.
ACCOMPLISHED GOALS
ANCHORED IN HIS WORD
3rd Goal - A: Call a DCE or hire a part-time Youth Minister (Not Called) to oversee Christian Education at FLC&P by August/2025.
Hired Molly Albonetti to serve as Director of Parish Education.
SHAPED BY HIS SERVICE
2nd Goal - S: By October/2023, 80% of Faith’s members will complete a Time/Talents survey.
A Time/Talent Survey was presented to the congregation on February 11, 2024 through the Happenings. The survey was to be completed online, however, a hardcopy was also available. This campaign ran through the end of June 2024.
4th Goal (follow up to Goal #2) – S: After completion of the Time/Talent Survey, responses will be available to Ministry Team leaders.
July 2024 a volunteer began the process on inputting the results of the survey into the 360Members database. Once completed each council member was given a log-in and instruction on how to access the database to help identify potential volunteers for their perspective ministries.
Those members who did not complete the survey were sent a reminder email about the survey and to see if any assistance was needed.
EMBRACING AS HIS FAMILY
2nd Goal - E: By August/2024, develop and maintain a formal system of relationship and community building between church families and preschool families and teachers.
January 2024 a team was formed to develop a system which came to be known as “Preschool Connect”. As part of our commitment to Embrace Our Community and Connect as Christ’s Family, we are strengthening relationships between church families and preschool families and teachers. As a result 11 church families and 11 preschool families agreed to take part in this ministry. A list calendar events was also established with a kickoff event in August 2024.
While the results where not as expected, the leadership concluded the goal was accomplished and a new goal was created to re-imagine “Preschool Connect”.
